To participate in a BBQ Pitmasters event, you typically need to assemble a team, register for the competition, prepare your chosen meats according to the event's rules, cook them on your smoker at the designated competition site, present your entries to the judges within the specified time frame, and follow all guidelines regarding meat cuts, seasoning, and presentation, while aiming for perfectly cooked and flavorful BBQ across different categories like brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and chicken.
